Bio: I am a poet and professor of English Education at Lehman College, City University of New York and member of the Board of Directors of the Maxine Greene Center for Aesthetic Education and the Social Imagination. I am deeply concerned about the corporatization of education, and passionate about the need for all kids, especially those who are economically disadvantaged, to have access to the arts and opportunities for creative self expression.
